Item Description

Lustruous, partially translucent, greenish-blue, amazonite prisms to 2.8 cm aesthetically cover this showy and excellent large plate. The peppering of goethite after siderite rhombs to 8 mm on the diagonal is a super accent. A classic and very fine Crystal Peak amazonite. Old-time material. Ex Bob Trimingham Collection, acquired in 1968 and probably collected in 1959, according to the label. This piece could possibly benefit from modern cleaning technologies being careful with the pseudos. It displays well from either direction.
