Amazonite (superb color) (ex Gary Weaver Collection)

Item Description

A wonderful display specimen of the famous Amazonites from the Smoky Hawk Claim in Colorado. The Dorris family has been collecting beautiful Amazonite specimens in this area for years, and the Smoky Hawk Claim produced some fine specimens over the years. This piece host several very well-formed, sharp, blocky, prismatic crystals of a rich blue-green color. The saturation of the color is darker than most Amazonite you will see from any Colorado locality. The largest individual Amazonite measures 4.0 cm long. The piece is in good shape overall, and according to the label, the piece has 1 repair. From the collection of Gary Weaver of Prescott, Arizona (1944-2019).
