Unrepaired large Moat Mountain amazonite and smoky quartz combinations of this quality are RARE from this well-known pegmatite locale. This impresssive piece is highlighted by the well-placed over 5 cm gem smoky with rich smoky color aesthetically set among textbook light turquoise-blue amazonites with typical for the locale white accents. The large amazonite is 4.0 cm and the translucent lighter smoky is 5.3 cm. The smaller smokies and cleavelandite ball on the back of the piece are fine accessories. The 360-degree gem smoky is nearly pristine, with only a gently bruised tip. This exceptional quality large combination piece is from the Robert Whitmore Collection.
