Item Description
Amazonite, while abundant on the specimen market, seldom seems to give us truly fine thumbnail specimens for the thumbnail collector to appreciate. This is a rare matrix combo in the full thumbnail size range, with a sharp 2.1-cm crystal of beautiful blue amazonite perched on crystallized cleavelandite matrix. This specimen is from the competitive thumbnail collection of Bill and Sharon Panczner, and would date to the 1960s or 1970s. It is perfect, complete all around, and a rare fine example in the size range despite the fact that larger ones are much more abundant for collectors.
