Item Description
Rich turquoise-blue color with fine luster highlights this exceptional, large, 8.4 x 7.6 x 5.8 cm, textbook amazonite crystal, that is aesthetically set on contrasting bone-white microcline matrix on this very fine combination from recent finds from the pegmatites at Kenticha. The mottling adds character to the crystal faces. Note that only one face shows the beautiful rich blue color with the other faces being lightly frosted. This definitely adds pizzazz to this piece. The amazonite is complete all-around and nearly pristine, with only one partially contacted side face, which is out-of-sight in the two fine primary display views. Amazonites of this high quality are comparable to fine Colorado pieces and cost far less. An old find, and now very few are on the market! valued $1250
