Item Description
Rob recently got his hands on a few VERY RARE Japanese specimens from an old collection, which we are going to put into the auctions. Pretty much anything from Japan is now very hard to obtain, even the more common Japanese "classics" such as rhodochrosite or stibnite. Here is a very rare amazonite - the label calls it orthoclase, which of course amazonite is, but when a blue color, it is more familiarly known as amazonite, and this is definitely a light pastel blue! The crystals are wonderfully sharp, and the overall form is pretty too. So it is an attractive specimen in addition to being rare on the market!
