Item Description
One of the true classics from Colorado. Some of the finest Amazonite specimens in the world have come from the pegmatites around Park and Teller County, Colorado. This cabinet sized display specimen features a group of large, sharp, blocky, medium blue-green colored prismatic Amazonite crystals measuring up to 5.8 cm with no matrix. The tops of the crystals are undamaged, but the underside of the specimen is contacted where it was separated from the pocket wall. Good luster and nice three-dimensional display on this one. Valued at $750. From the collection of Gary Weaver of Prescott, Arizona (1944-2019). Gary was an electrical engineer who worked for many years for Hughes Aircraft in California.
