Item Description

This is a nice display specimen from one of the most storied and well known districts in Colorado. The pegmatites near the Lake George area of Colorado have produced what most collectors and dealers consider to be the finest Amazonite specimens from the standpoint of superb color, top quality, wonderful display specimens and excellent associations. This particular specimen features blocky, sharp, lustrous rich blue-green Amazonite crystals with very minor associated Quartz. This specimen was collected nearly 50 years ago, and comes from the collection of Brian Kosnar. The piece is not complete all around as one of the crystal on the front edge is cleaved. The piece does show some interesting surface etching, which is not common in my experience with this material. Don't miss out on this great Colorado "classic".
