Item Description

erhaps the single most famous USA combination classic, worldwide, is the Amazonite with Smoky Quartz that has come out of Colorado since the 1800s. This one has an antique look to it, although no tellin gwhen it was found. Unusually, it is on real matrix, not popped off the rock as most were when found. Aesthetically emplaced on granite are several lustrous and unusually light seafoam blue-green amazonite crystals to 4 cm in length. A superbly formed lustrous, dark smoky quartz crystal measuring 7.75 cm in length completes this fine combo specimen. Note there is a repair in the smoky quartz, near its base (as is typical for this material). Just beautiful, and composed geometrically. From the Keith Williams Collection of miniatures and small cabinet specimens - Keith was a well known dealer and collector for decades before retiring recently.
