Item Description

Beautiful turquoise-blue amazonite crystals are densely clustered on the albite matrix on this sculptural and aesthetic large specimen from the Harris Park area of Park County. The single 2.3 cm translucent smoky quartz crystal is a very fine and typical complement. The amazonites have sharp form and moderate luster. The impressive large crystal is 5.5 x 4.9 x 4.2 cm. In great shape, overall. A modest edge bruise on the large amazonite and the out-of-sight contact on the back of the smoky are noted, but have minimal impact on the overall quality of this classic combination. This showy and colorful piece appears to be unrepaired, as no repairs were visible under LW and SW UV light. Valued at $1500 by the former dealer - which seemed low. This has a pleasant mix of colors, that creates contrast and a sculptural look, hard to find in such material. It is a large piece without repairs, also quite unusual.
