Item Description

This specimen is from the finds of Amazonite in Ethiopia in 2004. It features a beautiful, bright blue-green color, very well formed crystal on minor white Microcline / Albite matrix. These are easily some of the finest quality Amazonite specimens to hit the market in recent years. Aside from the specimens that occur in the granitic pegmatites in central Colorado, these are some of the most impressive Amazonite specimens around. This specimen even has good luster and is not at all pitted like many crystals from this area. A fine quality miniature with superb color.
