Item Description

Simply put, the finest Amazonite crystals in the world are found in around the Pike's Peak Batholith. The area has continued to produce fine quality crystals for the better part of a century. Here we have a sharp, well-formed rich blue green color Amazonite crystal. This specimen was collected by the Joe Dorris, and came from the famous Smoky Hawk Mine that has produced great Amazonite specimens for years. It's a good quality specimen for a species (Microcline) that is typically found in white to grey colored crystals!
