Item Description
This is a classic display specimen from one of the most storied and well known districts in Colorado. The pegmatites near the Lake George area of Colorado have produced what collectors and dealers know to be the finest Amazonite specimens from the standpoint of color, quality, wonderful display specimens and excellent associations. This particular specimen features sharp well-formed, pale blue-green color Amazonite crystals. Keep in mind that the best of these specimens (especially with top color) sell for big money these days, and considering that fewer and fewer top quality specimens are found each year, this one would make a great addition to any collection. The piece is from the famous Colorado collection of Richard Kosnar. It was collected nearly 40 years ago, when Richard Kosnar first came to Colorado. The handwritten number on the bottom of the piece (5113) might be from Rich's old collecting partner Clarence Coil. Don't miss out on this great Colorado "classic". No repairs, restorations or "treatment" of any kind on this one.
