Alunite from the Chinkuashih Mine is generally regarded as best of species for the sheer SIZE and impressive quality of the crystals. Keep in mind that most Alunite observed around the world is not crystallized, and this piece features sharp, well-formed, euhedral crystals up to 1.7 cm sitting on matrix. A fantastic specimen dating back around 50 years and rarely seen on the market! This locality is also the source of some of the finest examples of Luzonite in the world as well.
