Item Description
Altaite is uncommon lead tellurium and is typically found in hydrothermal vein gold--tellurium-bearing deposits. Iridescent, scintillating, metallic-silver and peacock-blue altaite microcrystals richly cover three sides of the massive sulfide and quartz matrix on this rich and rare piece. This fine piece is from the obscure Hilltop Mine, near the famous Stephenson-Bennett Mine. Seldom on the market. Very rich ore. Older material with the label on the back. Much better in person!
