Item Description
Altaite is uncommon lead tellurium and is typically found in hydrothermal vein gold--tellurium-bearing deposits. Iridescent metallic-silver altaite microcrystals in podlets, stringers and as isolated crystals are richly scattered on both sides of the matrix wedge on this rich and rare old-timer. This fine piece is from the obscure Hilltop Mine, near the famous Stephenson-Bennett Mine. Seldom on the market. Very rich ore.
