Item Description

Despite the fact that there are only a couple dozen minerals found at the Minerva #1 mine, some of them are among the most recognizable minerals from the United States. This piece hosts sharp, lustrous, pale golden color crystals of the hard to find barium calcium carbonate, Alstonite. These pieces are well known classics from the U.S. and this one is good quality. From the collection of deceased Colorado geologist Allen Heyl (for whom the species Aheylite was named after).
