Item Description

Mineral specimens of ANY species are RARE from this obscure former W-Mo mine. Sharp, lustrous, variably brown, almandine dodecahedrons (not andradite) are nicely clustered with contrasting massive quartz on this showy large combination specimen from the Bob Trimingham Collection. The garnets reach 2.2 x 2.0 cm and have nifty zones of reddish-brown translucence. The trivial bruising to a couple of crystals is certainly not a detraction to this rare and excellent combination piece. A must for the locality or species collector.
