Item Description
Almandine garnets are RARE from this well-known Italian Alpine locality. Five sharp crystals are aesthetically scattered on the schist matrix. The textbook sharp, dodecahedrons, to 1.2 cm, are brownish-red, lustrous and are moderately translucent. Outstanding and rare material. Ex Giancarlo Fioravanti Collection and obtained in a trade from an old collection in 1961. A must for the species or locality collector.
