Item Description
Classic, sharp, almandine garnet dodecahedrons are aesthetically scattered on the large mounded schist plate on this impressive large specimen from a famous Austrian locale. The moderately lustrous crystals reach 3.0 cm and have muted wine-red color. The broken crystals on the back reveal the beautiful orange-red tranlucence of the crystals. All of the crystals on the front are pristine on this classic and excellent large older specimen from the Bob Trimingham Collection and purchased in 1973.
