Almandine garnets from this little-known California locale are virtually unknown - but here is an impressive huge crystal! This pristine floater crystal, admittedly lightly rough, is a textbook trapezohedron. Most of the crystal faces are earthy, but some are lustrous. Super-rare on the market. A must for California or species collector. Old-time material from the Dennis Mullane Collection. 693 grams (or about 1.5 pounds ewight)!!
