Item Description
A 3.0 cm, sharp, lustrous, almandine garnet trapezohedron with a striking assemblage of small crystals is very jauntily perched atop feldspar and quartz matrix on this fine piece from this important, classic garnet locality on the East coast. These classic "Russel Garnets" were found in the late 1800s by two lucky locals. The garnets are pristine. Ex Bob Trimingham Collection. Valued at $750-900.
