Item Description
A large almandine garnet crystal from an obscure Idaho locality, that most people are unfamiliar with. The moderately lustrous dodecahedron has rounded and scalloped faces, as it is a riverworn cobble. The broken base reveals the beautiful, gemmy cherry-red sections to this crystal. Often cut into cabochons that may display a striking 6-rayed star. Old material from the Dennis Mullane Garnet Collection. 247 grams.
