Four, sharp, gemmy and lustrous, deep cherry-red, almandine garnets 1.3 cm are jauntily set on the fish-shaped wedge of shimmering, platy, silvery/green chlorite schist from a very uncommon Alabama locale in the Appalachian Mountains - Lake Martin. The isolated garnet looks just like a red fish "eye"! There are three more crystals on the backside as a bonus. Rarely on the market from this locale.
