Almandine garnets of this rich carmine-red color are rare from Ontario. This is an impressive, lustrous, textbook dodecahedron with beautiful areas of translucence. An excellent small cabinet from an obscure Ontario locale. A fine floater, nearly pristine with only a bit of corner wear. Ex Eric Anderson Collection.
