Item Description
Two equant, well-formed dodecahedrons of almandine garnet are jauntily set on gray-green chlorite schist. The almandines have high luster and a rich reddish-brown color. Translucent highlights of a rich red interior can be seen when the crystals are backlit. The large crystal is 4.0 cm. Classic old alpine material. Ex Dave Bristol Collection.
