Almandine (ex Brian Kosnar Collection)

Item Description

A rarely seen large Almandine crystal with minor attached schist on several sides of the piece. This fairly sharp, equant deep brownish-red dodecahedron is one of the only pieces I have seen of this material. It's an impressive crystal for the size (it weighs 270 grams), despite being essentially opaque. The piece is accompanied by a Marshall Sussman (Crystal Cellar) label.
