Almandine (ex Allen Heyl Collection)

Item Description

A nice thumbnail specimen from a lesser known locality. The piece features a deep reddish black colored dodecahedron of Almandine. It is certainly worthwhile for any collector of this material. The piece comes from the collection of noted Colorado geologist Allen Heyl, for whom the species Aheylite was named. The piece comes with a label from the Marble collection (sold by the Rocksmiths).
