Item Description

Almandine garnet is RARE from this Wyoming District. This superb, large, textbook dodecahedron has been partially altered (pseudomorphed) to lustrous, soft, greenish-gray chlorite. Some faces show the underlying reddish-brown almandine. A large and pristine floater crystal. Ex Bob Trimingham Collection. This heavy piece is 950 grams! A real Wyoming rarity!
