Item Description

A sharp, well-formed, modified trapezohedral / dodecahedral crystal of deep red Almandine measuring 2.0 cm across sitting on Quartz and schist matrix. The Garnet is not complete all the way around, but it remains as one of the best matrix pieces of this material that I've handled. This locality dates back to 1780.
