Item Description
Allophane is an amorphous hydrous silicate of aluminium, with composition not fixed. The nano-sized particles have a ball-shaped morphology. It is a rare and seldom-seen species from the famous Kelly Mine of New Mexico. Two generations of allophane cover the gossan matrix: beautiful, vivid sky-blue, gemmy botryoids; and mint-green, gemmy to opaque, botryoids. Very showy, uncommon and rich material from the Larry Krause dealer stock.
