Allophane (new find - beautiful color)

These interesting and unique specimens are from a relatively new find in 2020. These unexpected specimens were a delightful surprise to come out of China during that time. It's not what you would expect from the Qinlong Mine, because it's is a gold / antimony producer, though there have been some interesting and attractive secondary minerals, such as these beautiful new Allophanes. This piece is an attractive lightweight specimen of Allophane with a mixture of rich blues and sky blue hues, and eye-catching almost "banded" formation. A small amount of matrix is attached. Not typically what you'd expect from this aluminum silicate species, especially with such a vibrant color (which is most likely due to the presence of copper).
