Item Description
Allanite is an uncommon, slightly radioactive, member of the Epidote Supergroup. These prismatic crystals are sharp, lustrous, and reach up to a significant 1 cm in length. Located in several pockets, there are over a half-dozen well-formed Allanites, along with many smaller crystals, that give the specimen an attractive, black sparkle. The location is simply listed as Barcelona, Spain, though there are three localities within Catalonia that are known to have produced Allanite.
