A very rich, showy and solid dark gray ore specimen of the rare natural alloy allemontite from from the Type Locality - Allemont, France. Allemontite is a variable composition of arsenic and antimony. Most of the 3-dimensional piece is composed of scintillating, diverging sprays of metallic, acicular, allemontite crystals. The base of the piece is botryoidal. An excellent old piece from this historic locale. Seldom on the market. Ex Carlton Davis Collection.
