Item Description
Sculptural, two-sided, 4.5 cm, dendritic cluster of bright silver-metallic spikes of allargentum and silver. These two species have pseudomorphed dyscrasite (X-RAY and RAMAN run on multiple samples confirm that these crystals are a zoned mix of both). The crystals are aesthetically set atop the blocky, brecciated matrix that hosts green actinolite. The allargentum is etched out of the inclosing calcite, visible on the back of the crystals. Allargentum is metallic alloy of Silver and Antimony. The world's finest examples of the species come from this silver mine, that operated from 2008 to 2010 (MINDAT). A very showy and excellent small cabinet matrix example of the species from the Demetrius Pohl Collection, well-known geologist, field collector and collector.
