Item Description

Sharp scapolite prisms, to 3.8 cm, have interesting sharp terminations. The crystals are coated with lustrous, black allanite, an Epidote Supergroup species with REE minerals. A nifty, sharp, lustrous, uncoated scapolite is hidden in the interior. The periphery wear on one side can be strongly minimized by the display view. RARE and excellent combination material from this very obscure Minden area roadcut. Ex Robert Nowakowski Collection.
