A 1.3 cm, sharply terminated, gem, allanite-(Ce) blade is very aesthetically set in the euhedral to granular dolomite matrix and is well-complimented by the 7 mm terminated straw-yellow parisite-(Ce) crystal and nearby crystal sections on this very showy and excellent combination from this classic large open pit quarry. The zone of mining here is now gone, and these French REE species are fast becoming irreplaceable classics. Valued at $500-700.
