Item Description
A slightly divergent fan of well-formed crystals of Allanite-(Ce) up to 2.5 cm from the pegmatites of Madagascar. The crystal group is composed of black-brown, prismatic, bladed crystals of Allanite-(Ce) with spear point terminations associated with iron stained Albite and Muscovite. The metamict nature can be seen in one of the inconspicuous broken areas near the base that displays a resinous luster. This pegmatites has only produced a very limited number of Allanite-(Ce) crystals and this is one of the better ones in terms of color, sharpness and overall form. A great miniature for the species and locality.
