Item Description
This is a dramatic, intense blue cluster of parallel growth, tabular, lustrous crystals of blue beryl...basically, a really strange beryl variety! They are sharp and translucent, rare alkali-rich beryl crystals, to 2.5 cm across. Very showy! These were originally thought to be Rosterite or Vorobyevite, but further analysis by Dr. Federico Pezzotta confirmed they are alkali-rich beryls and we should apparently call them that only; although other names still persist among collectors. Nevertheless, they are unique specimens and highly desired. This is from a single large pocket around 2013 or so.
