Item Description
A showy, old-time specimen of massive, dark brassy Algodonite with minor off-white Quartz crystal from the famous Keweenaw Peninsula of Michigan. Algodonite is a copper arsenide and this is an excellent representatiive specimen. One rarely has the chance to purchase a specimen of this extremely rare material, and if you collect minerals of Michigan, thumbnails or rare minerals, don't miss out on this one. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#6608). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
