Albite (var: Peristerite)

Item Description

This piece was labeled as coming from Bancroft, but it's possibly from Kuehl Lake, Brudenell Township, Renfrew Co., Ontario. I've simply left it labeled as Ontario until somebody can give a bit more info about it. It features a predominant, sharp, well-formed, 2.5 cm cream colored crystal of Albite (var: Peristerite) with a slight amount of shimmering "adularescence". Smaller Persiterites and black Augite make for a good color contrast. Good quality all around with no notable damage to the main crystal.
