Item Description

A striking and aesthetic cluster of really huge platy cleavelandite crystals from Minas Gerais. The crystals are transparent to translucent and have supremely glassy luster. The cluster looks like a nifty boxwork, with the parallel-growth crystals attached to one large blade, 8.0 cm high x 7.3 cm wide. Broken and bruised crystals are noted, but this remains an extremely showy and rare, old-time example of very large crystals from Brazil. It probably dates to the 1980s or earlier.
