Item Description
A fantastic miniature sized specimen from the famous discovery near Griffith, Ontario featuring beautiful salmon pink colored Albite which has formed pseudomorphs after tetragonal prismatic crystals of Scapolite measuring up to 3.2 cm long. The main crystals are in fine condition, with no major damage, though some of the smaller crystals are contacted. I have only seen pink Albite pseudomorphing Scapolite like this from Canada and Norway, and nowhere else in the world. Fine quality, big crystals for the locality and a very showy / aesthetic specimen of these now very hard to find specimens that date back about 30 years. From the noted pseudomorph collection of Dr. Wouter van Tichelen of Belgium.
