Item Description

A very showy sliced and polished, hollow, agatized coral fossil geode! The glassy, transparent outer rind of amber and dark brown agate frames the pretty, sculptural, bubbly, botryoidal interior of lavender, creamy, amber and pastel-pink colors. The holes add character. This is one of those unusual cases where biology meets mineralogy. This specimen is from the Hauck Quartz Collection.
