Agate (ex Rich Kosnar Coll.)

Item Description

A great display piece of multicolor banded Agate with an actual crystallized vug of Quartz on one end. From the famous Trap Rock collection of Richard A. Kosnar, who assembled one of if not the very best collections of New Jersey Trap Rock Minerals in the world. The piece was probably collected circa 1960s-1970s. A small label accompanies the piece stating that it's from "Paterson", but many people referred to the Prospect Park Quarry as being in Paterson, althoug it's actually in the modern day borough of Prospect Park. Hard to find from the locality to be sure.
