Item Description
A surreal, otherworldly and RARE large old pseudomorph from this well-known agate geode producing Rio Grande do Sul district. Kaolinite has replaced most of a striking two-sided agate geode with stunning, dense, sculptural banding. You can see a bit of remnant agate on one side of the piece. The upper and lower outer rinds on this fantastic, rare geode pseudomorph adds even more visual appeal. The Salto do Jacui area is well-known as a major source of agate in the form of geodes from Brazil (MINDAT). UNIQUE old-time material from a limited mid-1960s finds. Value of such pseudomorph rarity??? A MUST for the pseudomorph, quartz, agate or locality collector!
