Item Description
Agardite-(Ce), a rare REE hydrated Ce-Cu arsenate was not discovered at famed Tsumeb until 1992 in the Third Oxidation Zone. Specimens are rare and are seldom on the market. This excellent and showy combination features tiny sprays of yellow-green Agardite needles, to about 3 mm, on and adjacent to the the colorful rich green mounded tufts of primary malachite needles. The two malachite balls are 8 and 9 mm across. The sculptural small cabinet matrix is richly covered with oxide-tinted dolomite or calcite rhombs and the vuggy area near and above the malachite is peppered with tiny yellow-green duftite crystals. RARE and choice combination material from the Shields Flynn Collection.
