Afghanite & Lazurite (rare combo) ex Obodda

Item Description

Afghanite and lazurite combination specimens (with both on the same piece) are rare from the famous deposits of the Koksha Valley, the Type Locality for both species. A 1.7 cm, sharply terminated (bullet shaped), hexagonal, cornflower-blue afghanite is aesthetically set in marble next to blocky, dark blue lazurite. Sparkly tiny pyrite crystals are scattered about. Both the afghanite and marble matrix fluoresce. Fine and rare quality combination material from the Herb Obodda dealer stock. Herb valued this at $300, more than five years ago.
