Aegirine (twin) (ex Kay Robertson Collection)

Item Description

A fine quality, sharp, very lustrous, prismatic simple twinned crystal of dark greenish-black Aegirine with minor Quartz from the famous locality at Mount Malosa. Virtually undamged save the bottom where it was removed from the pocket wall. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#12712). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
