This is actually a significant specimen for what it is, aegirine of insane top quality with a dominant 3 inch tall (7 cm) crystal standing perfectly on sparse matrix! While the locality is justly famous for the world's best aegirine (some of which have sold for 6 figures, by the way, and were not much larger crystals), quantity is the game here. Quality specimens, complete and pristine all around, balanced like this, were always rare even in the heyday here nearly 15-20 years ago. This is a stunning specimen with immediate geometric eye appeal. Also, as with many others in the Risse collection, inherited by purchase from the smart and well known collector, Paul Stahl. He tended to end up with many of the best aesthetic examples of rare species that went into Germany for some years.
